Volunteering for Kitten Rescue

They may have four paws, but they can always use a helping hand! Kitten Rescue operates solely on the time, energy, and dedication of our volunteers. There are many ways you can get involved! Even if you only have an hour a week to help out, that's ok, we always are happy to have the help.

Fostering We always have an urgent, urgent need for Foster Parents. Why is fostering so richly rewarding? Because when you take in one or more foster cats, you are personally responsible for saving their lives. Whether you can care for one cat or many, once or frequently, we would love for you to become a Kitten Rescue Foster Parent at whatever level of commitment you choose. We offer training, guidance, and lots of moral support. Read more about the "Joys of Fostering." Volunteering We have many areas that we need volunteer help in. If you have experience in one of these areas, or even if you don't, but you want to learn - e-mail our volunteer coordinator Click here to fill out our Volunteer Application Get school or college credit by volunteering with a non-profit and have fund at the same time! Medical Coordinator - help keep our kittens healthy by talking to fosters with sick kitties and setting up vet appointments. Training provided. Photographer  - take pictures of our kitties so they can be posted on the web. Must have digital camera. Publicity - increase our exposure in the papers, magazines and on radio and TV! Foster Follow-up - Call our foster care volunteers and help them with questions and problems. Fundraising - we have lots of projects, some large and some small. There is something for everyone and every dollar helps us save more cats! Adoption Preparation - Like to shop and organize? Go shopping for us and help us stock our adoption events Adoption Leads - run one of our adoption events 2 times a month - learn about cat care and educate the public about responsible pet ownership - help put an end to pet overpopulation. Special Events Coordinator - organize large events for Kitten Rescue. Cat Transporter - help transport cats to adoption events and vet visits. Cat & Kitten Socializer - spend time with some of our timid foster kitties so they can learn to trust people and become more adoptable.
