A Black Cat Affair

Did you know that black cats and kittens are the most likely to be passed over for adoption? Black cats are also the most likely to be euthanized at shelters and because they are harder to find homes for, the least likely to be rescued.

Every year, Kitten Rescue volunteers save hundreds of black cats. On Saturday, November 15, we are going to feature some of them at a special adoption event featuring all black and black and white cats and kittens. Whether you are looking to adopt a cat or kitten or just want to show some support for the kitties who are most often neglected, please stop by!

The HOPE Fund
In 2007, Kitten Rescue established the HOPE Fund. Named after a tiny feral kitten that we found injured on the street after being hit by a car, the HOPE Fund has enabled us to rescue and rehabilitate several severely injured cats. Read their stories on our HOPE Fund page.

The HOPE Fund has been made possible by the generous help of our donors. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the HOPE Fund!

Become a Kitten Rescue volunteer
Kitten Rescue is an all-volunteer organization that depends on the hard work of its volunteers. We are able to rescue and adopt out 1,000 cats and kittens every year thanks to our dedicated volunteers! Most of our rescued kitties live in volunteer foster homes, and more are always needed. There are also plenty of ways beyond fostering that you can get involved and make a difference in the life of homeless animals.

The Kitten Rescue Sanctuary
The Kitten Rescue Sanctuary is our private shelter. With approximately 150 resident cats living in cage-free areas, the Sanctuary is a wonderful place to adopt and to volunteer. The Sanctuary also operates as a boarding facility for people who need a safe, caring environment for their cats to stay in while they go on vacation.
