Kitten Rescue is currently taking care of a group
of kitties that have tested positive for Feline Leukemia
(FeLV). FeLV is an infectious and, unfortunately,
deadly virus. However, cats infected with FeLV may
live for years, and with proper care and nutrition
they can enjoy a good quality of life in the time
that they have. There is a wealth of good information
on the Web about FeLV; some good articles are
here
and
here.
The disease is not contagious to people or other kinds
of animals other than cats.
These are all wonderful, sweet kitties who, sadly,
have had the misfortune to contract this awful disease.
Yet they are full of life and love and deserve a chance
to live out the rest of their lives in the comfort
of a loving home. Any of them would be a great companion
to another FeLV cat, or could live in a home that
didn't have any other cats or where they could be
separated from other cats. We are looking for people
who can open their hearts and homes to these little
angels for whatever time they have left. These kitties
will really appreciate it, and will pay you back with
fuzzy, cuddly love.

to support these kitties, please
