Domestic Shorthair / Black
D.O.B.: 5/23/1998

Senior Cat, Partial Deafness (Ear Canal Surgically removed)
Cole is the quirkiest cat at the sanctuary. If you were to mix all of the personality of a Siamese with the classic look of a black cat, Cole would fit the Bill. Cole was already a long time resident of the sanctuary when Kitten Rescue bought the facility, so he is now in his senior years.

Cole can have a bit of an attitude and if he is not in the mood to deal with you, or if you want him to do something he is no happy with (like trimming nails) he is never shy about telling you to stop. Cole can also be a little bit moody when it comes to the other cats, too While it can take him some time to warm up to people, when he does, he has shown that he loves being held and to give kisses. We also believe he missed his calling as a hairdresser because he has an obsession with playing in people’s hair!

In 2010 a polyp was discovered in Cole’s ear; it required surgery which led to the removal of his entire ear canal. Now, his ear tilts endearingly to the side. While Cole’s balance is a little off sometimes, he has made a full recovery!
