Mojave was found outside of a no-kill shelter where the staff reported seeing this miniature mountain lion peeking through the windows. After getting neutered and treated for some “battle” wounds, he tested positive for FIV, which is not unusual for many unneutered tomcats that have had to fight for territory on the streets.
FIV+ cats can live perfectly normal lives with negative cats. However, Mojave really doesn’t like other cats, so he would prefer to be an only cat.

Mojave also as chronic gum inflammation, a condition that is not uncommon in cats. He has had all of his teeth pulled expect for his tiny front teeth. Mojave is also a sensitive guy; his skin gets very itchy and he sometimes pulls his fur out from over-grooming. He does need occasional medication for the gum inflammation and to make sure that his skin stays itch-free.
