About Me: Dusty Rose is a dignified, beautiful long-hair cat with a regal appearance. Amazingly, she has spent nearly her entire life at the Sanctuary. When the shelter was taken over by Kitten Rescue in 2005, Dusty Rose was already six years old, an had apparently been living at the facility ever since she was a kitten. At some point in the past, she had broken one of her back legs and has spent nearly two years living in an enclosure at the point that Kitten Rescue acquired the Sanctuary. Thankfully, Dusty Rose has been allowed to get out more and roam about as her injury has long since healed completely.

As she has grown older, Dusty Rose has developed hyperthyroidism, which requires daily medication and observation to ensure her continued healthy. Dusty Rose prefers to lounge in her enclosure or around the Sanctuary to chasing toys or interacting with the other cats. She has a calm, gentle personality and loves being brushed.
